Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told the Umno Supreme Council today that he may quit as party president by Oct 9. If he does, that will be the best piece of news eagerly awaited by a majority of Malaysians for several years now.
I was told that the party polls have been postponed to March next year. I have no clue as to why such a decision was taken.
Perhaps, Abdullah will not quit after all and needs to buy time to device ways and means to stay in power.
I will update this blog as soon as I get more information.
